Meet Erin, a seasoned marine industry expert based in vibrant Annapolis, Maryland. Over the past 15+ years, she’s carved out a distinguished career specializing in yacht charters—an enterprise perfectly suited to her lifelong passion for sailing and her adventurous spirit.

From the moment she first set foot on a deck as a child, Erin knew the sea would shape her future. That early fascination blossomed into a deep-seated expertise in both bareboat and crewed charter experiences. Whether guiding clients through the sales process, managing operations behind the scenes, or simply soaking up the thrill of a voyage herself, she’s worn every hat with equal enthusiasm and skill.

Daphne Nelson

Daphne Nelson is a well-known and highly regarded name in the charter yacht business, particularly in the US and British Virgin Islands and she brings a unique blend of passion for sailing and expertise in accounting to the yacht charter industry. Since 2016, she has been dedicated to helping yacht owners navigate the complex financial aspects of vessel management and charter operations.

With decades of accounting experience, including education from the Certified General Accountants Association of Canada (now named the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada), Daphne has held financial controller positions across various industries. Her diverse background includes roles in hospitality, gaming, property management, and construction, providing a well-rounded perspective to yacht financial management.
​
Daphne's journey in the yacht industry began when she assisted friends in reconstructing their charter season finances. This experience ignited her passion for combining her love of sailing with her accounting skills. Since then, she has worked extensively with yacht management companies, clearinghouses, brokers, owners, CPAs, crews, and industry vendors.
​
Originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Daphne's love for sailing was sparked during her first experience on a Sol Cat at age 22. She has since enjoyed numerous sailing trips in the Caribbean and the Tonga/Vava'u islands, further fueling her passion for the industry.
Daphne believes that accounting is not just a "side dish" in yacht ownership, but a crucial "main course" that deserves focused attention. Her mission is to provide comprehensive financial services that allow yacht owners to fully enjoy their vessels while ensuring sound financial management.

Kristi and Jim Query's introduction to the yacht charter industry began in 2012 when they purchased their first yacht, "Being Nauti". This pivotal decision marked the beginning of a life-changing journey that has seen them take on multiple roles in the charter world.

As founders of Virgin Islands Yacht Charters, one of the most successful bareboat charter companies in the Virgin Islands, the Querys have established themselves as respected figures in the local charter industry.
​
Having experienced some of the challenges of the charter industry firsthand, Kristi and Jim recognized the need for innovation and improved services in the charter yacht market, particularly in the crewed yacht sector.
​
Charter Vault embodies the Querys' core values of integrity, excellence, and personalized service. This clearing house for crewed yacht charter brokers and charter yacht owners represents the culmination of their years of experience and their vision for elevating industry standards.
